The Drama Club of Sakus Mission College in collaboration with the Department of English and the IQAC organized a theatre performance by the Astitva Art Foundation (AFF), Ahmedabad, at the college auditorium on 4th February 2019.
The program was chaired by Mrs. Zuchano Lotha, HoD, Department of English. The awakening idea on theatrical performance was highlighted by Mr. Bendang Walling, founder director of Hill Theatre, where he gave an idea about “Conceptual art”.
The director and co-founder, Miss. Arpita Dhagat, of AAF highlighted about their performance titled ‘ITEM’ which showcased the stereotype conditioning of women in a traditional Indian society. The play is a constant juggling of expected roles and real self narrated as story-telling and popular imagery.
The show was concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mr. John Zarench, Asst. Prof. Department of English.
