Student Christian movement of India of Sakus Mission college, had a monthly prayer fellowship cum Universal day of prayer for students on 5th of February 2019 at the college Auditorium . A brief programme was held basing on the theme “Young people building peace and overcoming Violence ” . Miss. Pongjai chaired the programme. The introduction about UDPS Day and objectives of the event was narrated by Miss. Tolly Yeptho , Programme Secretary of North East Zone – 11. Madam Amenla , chaplain of SMC offered a special prayer on the occasion , followed by a short sharing on the theme ” Young people building peace and overcoming Violence ” by Miss. Limanaro, Asst. Prof. Department of Education (Staff Advisor). Wherein, she encouraged the students to inculcate love in order to bring peace in the society or in the country. ‘It starts with individual then family, society, country and then international. But most importantly, it is we individual have to start first and the rest will follow,” she exhorted. A total of 30 members attended and by the grace of God it was an enriching, blessed and a memorable session. The programme concluded with a mass prayer.
